ibm Iseries AS/400 DB2

I'm trying to connect using some of the gems:
sequel, dbi, ibm_db, jdbc-as400-adapter

Without success, does anyone have the same problem?

using the gem ibm_db, I can not verify that everything is configured correctly.
using mac ox , ubuntu 16.04,  rails 5.2.0 , ruby 2.5

I am proposing a new approach to the problem
use js to connect to the db2 database

any suggestion is welcome ....
